Meet Emily
For years, I was doing everything I thought I was supposed to do. I built a successful career, became good at solving difficult problems, and learned how to push through. From the outside, my life looked successful. Internally, I felt increasingly disconnected from the life I had built.
I kept looking for the next thing I needed to change, achieve, understand, or fix so I could finally feel the way I thought I was supposed to feel.
Eventually, the gap between the life I was living and what felt true for me became too difficult to ignore.
I began making changes. I stepped away from alcohol, left the corporate career I had spent years building, and gave myself the time and space to understand what was actually happening within me.
As I explored different approaches to personal growth, one of the most important shifts was much simpler.
I stopped asking, “What’s wrong with me?” and started asking, “What is this trying to show me?”
Instead of constantly trying to fix myself, I became more curious about my experience. I started noticing patterns, questioning beliefs I had assumed were true, and paying closer attention to what actually felt aligned for me.
What I eventually understood was that insight was only part of the process. I also had to learn how to live in greater alignment with what I knew to be true.
That experience became a large part of why I created Alternative Solutions.

Why Alternative Solutions
Alternative Solutions grew out of what I learned through my own process: lasting change rarely comes from someone else giving us the answer. It comes from learning how to see ourselves and our circumstances more clearly.
That can be difficult from inside our own experience. We all have patterns, beliefs, assumptions, and old ways of responding that can be almost invisible to us.
Sometimes an outside perspective helps us see what we couldn’t see before, creating space for alternative possibilities.
That’s the role I believe coaching can play.
I don’t see my job as solving your problems or telling you how to live. I see myself as a mirror. I listen, ask questions, notice patterns, challenge assumptions, and reflect what I see with compassion and without judgment.
From there, we can get curious about what’s actually happening, find clarity in what’s true for you, and begin making choices that are more coherent with that truth.
The goal is for you to see yourself more clearly, trust your own inner truth, and make choices that align with the life you actually want to be living.
That’s where Alternative Solutions begins.
